As you know, here at Veg In A Box we know our pies… and we NEVER settle for second best. Clive’s pies are so good that now we pretty much have every product the produce in stock!
Clive started making vegetarian wholemeal pies in 1982, from a small domestic kitchen on the edge of Dartmoor. In 1986, Clive rented a small unit in a converted woollen mill in Buckfastleigh. He was baking about a hundred cheese and vegetable, and mushroom pies, that he distributed on his bike for the princely sum of 36p per pie! He’s a bit of a legend in this part of Devon, but like all good pie-makers, he’s now retired. The business was taken over in 2003, they then expanded the range of gluten free products and fine-tuned their delicious recipes.
